The Economic Relations between the European Union and Thailand

Please join our next lunch meeting on Tuesday 3 September where we will have Mr. Philipp Dupuis speak on “The Economic Relations between the European Union and Thailand.”

Since August 2015, Philipp Dupuis has been the Head of the Economic and Trade Section of the Delegation of the European Union in Thailand. He also covers Cambodia, Laos and Myanmar.

Between August 2009 and July 2015, Philipp Dupuis has been Deputy Head of the Unit in charge of the trade relations with North America in the Directorate General for Trade of the European Commission in Brussels. In parallel, he was EU deputy chief negotiator for the EU-Canada Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA).

He also held several other senior positions.

Philip Dupuis studied Business Administration and, as subsidiary major, Political Sciences at the University of Mannheim in Germany and made a Banking Apprenticeship at the Deutsche Bank in Darmstadt/Germany.
